Finally a new theme out after taking a sabbatical from making themes due to work commitments.
I have a few concepts for themes in mind for some time now and some are already in the works. Will be churning out a few backlogs as well as updating some of the older themes.
As some of you already knew, James, our forum administrator had work tirelessly to upgrade purelab’s forum and the new “purelab community” page is now ready for action. I strongly urge you to join the forum for some active discussions; blackberry or casual chat up.
purelab. is built on your support, I appreciate your continuous support to purelab’s endeavour by leaving a comment here, starting a thread in the forum or introducing yourself in the guest book. Of course, any donations will be appreciated to help us defray the cost of maintaining the website and forum.
Sorry for ranting, here is the new theme.

Built with in great attention to artwork, looks absolutely minimalistic in the same tandem of purelab’s usual style, this theme is not only for the working executive but for anyone who enjoys a premium aesthetic quality and functionality for your blackberry device.

Important Notes:
1) I am in Singapore and is on +8 GMT which is about 12 hours ahead of US/Canada.
2) I appreciate feedback and comments but please refrain from asking for customization unless the theme has a global problem.
3) Theme for 9000, 9630 & 9700 are tested on simulators only.
4) Kindly do a battery pull after installation of the theme and ensure that you do not have any unread messages before you do that.

hi,
i installed your theme but i did found the same “bugs” as most of the themes.
you choosed to work with light grey, but when i open an email, the calendar, the options or anything else i have blue cursor, blue focus, blue everything. the theme hasn’t contnuity, is not fluent and i have the impresion that i am using 2 themes in 1.
chose a color scheme and use it from beggining to the end.

I really like this theme, very fresh and different. I just wish one of the 3 icons in the top box was the profile icon, hate to waste a slot on the homescreen for that. thank you for giving this free.

Hi Milo, pure.executive does not come with a weather slot. I use Berryweather to have the thermostat showing for my screenshot.

Thanks for your feedback. I was originally going to put the profile on the fix docks but I needed the slot for files to browse through my work documents hence the switch. Further more, I realised when doing the fixed docks on composer that the profile image will not change to the icons I wanted to use (glitch or by default, I am not sure) puts me off having the profile up there.
It will have to be like this for now.

I am all for thematic and consistency of the theme looks.
All that is to change had been changed on the theme studio. It is all I can do for the theme using the RIM’s default theme software.
As for the email and options, I am sure the theme dialog and cursor are grey. What OS and device are you on?

It appears there is a bug with some of the drop-down controls. For example, in the Browser the drop-down control to the right of the search box only displays a down arrow. It does not display the current selection (Google, Yahoo, Wikipedia, etc.).

I have installed BEWeather Free…but no thermostat display
Great JOB!!! I hate downloading themes, but I fell in love with the screen shots! Haven’t been disappointed at all.
Just a question though. What’s that icon that looks like a tea cup next to the time?

@ Nelson, yemi – the coffee cup icon is the alarm indicator
@ Touruser – the thermostat notification is a feature of Berryweather (paid version) not sure if other weather apps have it.

How can I configure the space bar shortcut?
Hi Racid,
You must have the application Shortcume or Quicklaunch in your bb. Pressing the spacebar will automatically launch them. And yes, you will have to pay for those apps.

i found the $ key cannot called out SMS and MMS on my 9700 (internal testing 5.0 rom).
and Berryweather icon didnt appear on homepage even if i have installed it.

I am using the 8900 but on the same ota download for this theme and my $ calls up the sms & mms fine, you may need to do a battery pull and try to see if it works. As for the berry weather, you will need to go to options and check the show notification on homescreen for it to show regardless which theme you are on.
Let me know how it goes and I’ll see if there is anything i can do.

I would like to humbly request that you make a 4.6 version of this for the 8900. I have not upgraded to 5.0
